Never A Failure

Failure is not failure. It's just part of life's learning process. To many, it is a step to success. Life is not all or nothing; therefore, if one fails, it is not the end of his world.

We all encounter failure at some point in our lives; however, life goes on. For this reason, we must remember that when we fall there's no other way but up. Life happens, and it includes failure. This is what the Ode to Failure talks about.

Watch the video below.

As said in the video, life is about celebrating efforts; it's not all about success. Those who have succeeded encountered failure in some point of their lives. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard while Steve Jobs left Reed College. Michael Jordan lost almost 300 games; Manny Pacquiao has a total of five losses. These are proofs that failing is not the end of everything.

Life is too short to live in despair. Live life according to your true calling and passion, and if you fail by doing so, you're never a failure.

Easy Rider

A few weeks back, I went to Bicol for a much needed rest. (Damn, law school!) But that doesn't mean I didn't have time to take some pictures to post here. How can I do that to my loyal readers? HAHAHA.Well, to tell you honestly, this wasn't planned. I just saw this parking lot with motor bikes parked all around and I thought this area matched my errand outfit so I grabbed my phone and companion and took these photos for you. COME ON! INSTANT PHOTOSHOOT!

Don't I look like a biker dude with this outfit?

What I'm Wearing: H&M Hoodie, Van Heusen Crisp White Button-down, F&H Denim Pants, Dr. Marten's boots, Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 with Shoulder Strap in Damier Ebene Bandoulière, Ray-Ban Aviators.

P.S. This outfit was inspired by Pelayo Diaz of who constantly shows us at a woman's designer handbag can also be worn by a man in a manly way. See hereherehere and here.

My Rihanna Experience, Now and Then

“When you hold me, I’m alive; we’re like diamonds in the sky.”

Diamonds World Tour

Diamonds World Tour is Rihanna’s ongoing concert tour. The tour serves as a support to her Unapologetic album. It began on March 8, 2013; from then on, the superstar traveled North America, Europe, and just recently, Asia.

Last Thursday, September 19, Rihanna performed at the Mall of Asia Arena. It was her second time here in the Philippines. She had a concert with Chris Brown (her former boyfriend) in November of 2008 at Taguig. I was present in her first concert in the country. That was almost five years ago… Whoa! Was it that long ago?...

Standing outside the arena for Riri’s second concert in Manila made me feel like it was just months ago when she had her first concert. I can still remember how before coming to the concert, I was so down. I was actually broken-hearted then; I broke up with my boyfriend just few weeks before the concert. Yeah, I was still hurting, but that didn’t stop me from watching Rihanna and Chis Brown’s concert! I love their music. They rocked the open ground that night, and I felt so alive after the show. Oh, how time flies... Seems just like yesterday, but... That was years ago!

Diamonds World Tour
My first Rihanna experience way back in November of 2008 seems like just yesterday. These are some photos with my friends before, during and after the concert.

So, what can I say about last Thursday's happening? Well, I don’t know why, but while waiting for my friends outside the arena, I felt a tinge of emptiness in my system. That feeling years ago came back... This wasn't a good sign. Of all the times, why now?... Yes, I slightly felt those blues I had before watching Riri's first concert way back... However, when my friends arrived already and the crowd began going crazy while excitedly waiting for the superstar, oh boy my mood had changed. I felt a sense of vibrancy all over me. Ready for Riri! This is it! #goodvibes

Diamonds World Tour
My Diamonds World Tour experience with friends is a breath of fresh. It has been a really fun and cool experience!

The setlist is originally composed of 27 songs although the song performance may have varied from country to country. Below is the list of songs on her ongoing tour.

Among the songs, my faves are Talk That Talk, Rude Boy, Umbrella, What Now, Love The Way You Lie (Part II), Hate That I Love You, We Found Love, Stay and Diamonds. As mentioned, the concert was held in MOA Arena; this means that people were seated on bleachers as opposed to Riri’s first concert (in Taguig) which was held in an open ground area. It was good that in MOA Arena we were seated; however, we couldn’t dance and jump freely because of the limited space. Some people stood up to party during the concert; others just got groovy and dancy on theirs seats while listening to the superstar.

The crowd was so madly in love with Riri’s performance. She didn’t have to wear extravagant dresses on her show last week; she actually just wore a simple white outfit in contrast to her much more revealing black getup in 2008. Moreover, in her recent concert, there was more dancing involved. Her performance was everything the people ever wanted! She nailed it before, and still, she nailed it now.

Below are some videos on her Diamonds World Tour in Manila. Enjoy watching! :)

“Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way.
I want you to stay... Stay...”

*This is Riri’s second to the last song during her recent concert in Manila. The crowd had silently watched the superstar in awe of her heart-felt performance. I’ve made a blog about Stay. Check it here.

All in all, I’d say that Rihanna is timeless! She performs outstandingly different and captures the heart of her audience. She’s improving year after year that’s why her fans have always loved her; she has a big set of fans here in the Philippines, and she has felt that. She even promised to come back here once more.

Oh yeah, that’s an amazing promise! Isn't it?!... Hmmm, I’ll always find time to watch creative and phenomenal artists. No doubt, Rihanna is one of these artists. She always shines bright like a diamond… Like a diamond in the sky… Yeah, that's Rihanna! :)

On The Job Movie Review

This movie is by far the best Philippine movie of all time. And I must say that it is the most relevant in the country’s current situation which makes me wonder if it still is happening today.

I don't do movie reviews, but I just want to share how much it has moved me, and has bugged my 4 hour sleep.

Joel Torre’s acting is just superb! I fell in love with how he portrayed a character that is so intense, without showing remorse on his actions. He was fat in the movie which perfectly posed the "Tatang" role. He owned every scene he is in.

Gerald Anderson is the On the Job Trainee, as how I interpret it. His dumb acts made it more exciting. He still looked yummy with his dirty tattoo. Hahaha sorry but I had to!

I like Piolo Pascual's acting, but I think, his scenes were limited to what his role requires. Maybe, he should have shown more topless bathroom scenes. Sorry again, but i had to. Haha!

And Joey Marquez, as we all know to be green and naughty, portrayed a police officer trying to make a difference in this world. In his years, of service, he has not yet advanced from being a sergeant  because of political issues. He earned my respect in this role.

This is about politics. This is what every Filipino should watch, to open our minds on what could be happening. Do not wait for pirated copy or you will be the last to be informed of what is actually going on.

But sadly, like in the movie, the evil or the "influential" always prevail. #mgahayopkayo

Gosh I can't work, the movie is still in my mind.
